History of television

Television was invented in the late 19th century, but no practical system was developed until the 1920s. The first commercial television broadcasts began in the United States in 1939, and by the 1950s television had become a major source of entertainment and news for people around the world. Color television was introduced in the 1950s, and high-definition television (HDTV) became available in the 1990s. Today, television is a ubiquitous part of our lives, and it continues to evolve with new technologies.

Beginning of television (1927–1930)

The TVs we see today actually started in a very complex way. In the beginning, they were not like this; they used to weigh up to 100kg, and their design used to be very different.

Mechanical Rotating Disc Technology ( 1927 - 1930 ):

All the televisions that came from 1927 to 1930 were mechanical televisions. That is, mechanical rotating disc technology was used in all those televisions. Thereafter, by the 1930s, the mechanical technology used in these televisions had become obsolete and was followed by the introduction of electronic television, which gave better image resolution than mechanical TV.

And it was also easy to produce.

Television Market After World War 2:
Now, slowly, the television market was also growing, but after the Second World War, which lasted from September 1, 1939, to September 2, 1945, there was a tremendous boom in the television market. Because America was buying one lakh televisions a week after World War II.

By the 1950s, black and white televisions were on the market, and at the same time, a remote to control the television was launched, which was made by Zenith Radio Corporation and looked something like this.

And the special thing about that remote was that it was not wireless like today's remote but was connected to the TV through a virus. And you really won't believe it, but the price of that remote, i.e., that remote, was about 400 to 500 US dollars. That's why only rich people could buy TV in olden times.

And this was the reason that after 1950, the craze for TV increased among the people, and between 1950 and 1960, only 7- to 14-inch-screen TVs were sold. And between 1950 and 1960, the development of black and white TV had started; that is, they were being made even better by being broadcast.

Beginning of television in India:
The period from 1950 to 1960 proved to be good for India, as during this time many foreign companies started importing televisions into India. The first experimental telecast of television in India with a small transmitter and a mark-shift studio began on September 15, 1959, in Delhi.

Up until 1969, many types of TVs were coming on the market, but in the beginning of 1970, the attention of the manufacturer went to the design and technical side of the television because, till now, the design of all the TVs coming on the market was not special, so in the mind of the manufacturer, The idea came to improve these designs a bit.

Because the televisions that came earlier had different sizes, some televisions were sometimes like fridges, and some were like microwaves. That is why the manufacturers thought of changing the design of these televisions a bit. And slowly he started working on it.

The era of LED and plasma television and technological changes in television:

Then, technology was also increasing gradually. And at the same time, there were a lot of improvements in plasma and LED TVs as well. And after this, by the year 1996, Panasonic and Sony had launched their first HD TVs in the market, after which the market boomed once again.

Beginning of today's era of televisions :
After 2000, the TV industry started growing even more rapidly. Because many advanced TVs were already coming at this time. That's why television companies were also launching many types of TVs, and Samsung also launched many TVs in the market at that time, which is why Samsung is the world's largest TV manufacturer. Because in 2007, they launched a 10-mm-thick LCD TV.

After the year 1990, the funniest thing was that now not only the designs of televisions were changing, but their thickness was also changing a lot. Where earlier TVs used to come in the shape of fridges, now the thickness of those televisions is also changing. Is. coming. Gradually, it became less and less.
