Woman in Hudla village, Mahwa, Dausa, jumps into well to end life after family violence


Dausa, Mahwa: On July 7, 2023, a case related to family violence has come to light in Hudla village of Mahwa tehsil of Dausa district of Rajasthan. In which on July 7, due to family violence in Hudla village, a woman tried to kill herself by jumping into a well. But when the people present around came to know, the woman was immediately taken out of the well. On being taken out of the well, the woman started crying bitterly. The local people asked the woman about her but she did not tell anything.

The villagers say that the woman had come from her home probably due to a domestic dispute and tried to kill herself after getting the opportunity. A pouch can also be seen in the hand of the woman.
 

 


There are many such cases in India in which women have even committed suicide due to family matters. Because the woman is constantly given mental stress by her in-laws. Because of which the woman thinks of committing suicide.



Government Official Data On Woman Violence:
According to the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 6,589 dowry deaths were reported in India in 2021. This means that an average of 18 women died every day due to family violence in India in 2021.

Dowry deaths are a type of domestic violence in which a woman is killed by her husband or in-laws for not bringing enough dowry (a payment made by the bride's family to the groom's family at the time of marriage). Dowry deaths are often disguised as suicides or accidents.

 

The number of dowry deaths in India has been declining in recent years, but it is still a serious problem. In 2011, there were 8,618 dowry deaths reported in India.
