Threads is an Instagram extension launched by Instagram itself, it is not a separate entity. That's why people are still seeing many shortcomings in it. And the biggest problem people are facing is to permanently delete threads profile. Because Threads gives users the option to keep thread profiles public and private. Which the user can use manually. But when you want to leave threads after login to threads it will feel like there is no way out. Because when you want to delete the profile of threads instead of deleting it permanently there is an option to "Deactivate threads profile". After clicking on which the threads will be logged out. But when you login again the same profile will be login.
This means that the thread's profile has been removed temporarily, not permanently. Because there is no option to delete the profile permanently. Because "Deactivating your profile is temporary. Your profile, threads, replies and likes will be hidden until you log back in and reactivate."
It is written in the privacy policy of Threads that "If you want to permanently delete your Threads profile, then for this you have to delete your Instagram account." But the post in Threads can be deleted manually and it will be deleted from your Instagram And won't affect Instagram posts". And deactivating your Threads profile will not delete your Threads data or affect your Instagram account. Instagram head Adam Mosseri said about permanent deletion of Threads account, "I've been getting some questions about deleting your account. To clarify, you can deactivate your Threads account, which hides your Threads profile and content, you can set your profile to private, and you can delete individual threads posts – all without deleting your Instagram account. Threads is powered by Instagram, so right now it's just one account, but we're looking into a way to delete your Threads account separately."
How To Deactivate Your Threads Profile?
If you deactivate your profile, your posts and interactions with others's posts won’t be visible on Threads until you reactivate it. Deactivating your Threads profile won’t delete your Threads data or affect your Instagram account.
- 1. Tap on the profile tab in bottom right of you Threads app.
- 2. Click on menu option in the top right.
- 3. Tap on account and then click on Deactivate Profile.
- 4. Tap on Deactivate Threads Profile & Confirm.
Threads app may be a good option for some people but it is useless app for those people who have zero followers on Instagram. Because this app does not provide any facility to reach your post.
