This incident, which happened with athlete Sahab-e-Asra, has spread all over Pakistan. Because the spike shoes that someone had sent as a gift to the Pakistani Sprinter proved to be very expensive for him, a tax of 68,000 PKR was imposed on these shoes sent by courier from FedEx. While this is more than the actual price of the shoes, the price of spike shoes is PKR 55,000. FedEx told that no charge has been imposed on these shoes by the courier company. This is the import tax levied by the customs duty.

Sharing a video about the incident, Asra said, "I am an international runner. I use spikes for running. Someone gifted these shoes to me. And I needed them because my old spikes were damaged. But when I went to collect the spikes, the courier company, FedEx, said that you would have to pay PKR 68,000 in tax on these shoes. Those spikes cost PKR 55,000. I informed the authorities about this and complained."
