According to the information received on the spot, the name of the father of the deceased (Pooja Meena) is Pyarelal Meena. Four criminals entered the house and forced themselves on Pooja Meena; later, the criminal Bhanu Pratap Meena, son of Ramvilas Meena Sukhchenpura Dangra, shot Pooja Meena in the head with a pistol. The case is of Batoda village in Gram Panchayat Barnala, in which criminal Bhanu Pratap, along with some of his friends, entered the girl's house, molested her, and later shot her three times with a pistol. The name of the girl is Pooja Meena (age 22), who died while being taken to the hospital. After the firing, the accused, Bhanupratap, tried to run away, but the villagers caught hold of him, tied him to a tree, and beat him. Four youths entered the house, molested the girl, and shot her when she protested. The family took the girl to the hospital, but by then she had died. On the other hand, the villagers caught one of the accused, who was running away from the spot after the incident. He was tied to a tree and beaten severely.

Nathulal, son of Arjun Meena, a resident of Barnala, told that on Thursday evening his niece Pooja Meena, daughter of Pyarelal Meena, and her sister-in-law Urmila Devi were in the house. At around 3 o'clock in the evening, Bhanupratap Meena, son of Ramvilas Meena, resident of Sukhchainpura Dangra Golya, came with his friends Ankit Meena, son of Ghanshyam Meena, resident of Malarna Dungar, Kuldeep Meena, resident of Bagdi, and Krishna, son of Mukesh Meena, resident of Sukhchainpura police station Lalsot. And he started talking to Pooja. During this time, the accused sent his sister-in-law outside on the pretext of getting water.

When Urmila Devi went to get water, the accused locked the room from inside and started molesting Pooja. When Pooja protested, Bhanupratap shot her in the head with a country-made pistol. Nathulal Meena said that after hearing the sound of the bullet, his sister-in-law, Urmila Devi, who was present in the other room, and he himself ran into the room and found Pooja lying on the floor in a blood-soaked condition. Immediately, along with some people, Pooja was taken to Batoda Hospital, but by then she had died.

Arjun Meena said that after hearing the sound of gunshots, nearby people also came to the spot. Seeing Bhanupratap run away with a pistol in his hand, people caught him. People tied him to a tree and beat him. During this time, the other three people accompanying Bhanu Pratap fled away. Batoda police reached the spot, rescued Bhanupratap, and admitted him to the hospital. According to the report of the girl's uncle, the police have registered a case against Bhanupratap, Krishna, Ankit, and Kuldeep Meena under various sections, including molestation, murder, and the Arms Act.

The police say that the case is being investigated from every angle. An investigation is also being done to determine whether there was any kind of contact between the girl and the youth. The FSL team has collected evidence from the spot.

In the information revealed after the murder, it has become clear that the accused, Bhanu Pratap, is a friend of the girl's brother. Pooja Meena is studying B.Sc. at Agra. Pooja had come to the village after giving her final year exam. Pooja's father, Pyarelal Meena, is a head constable in the Excise Department in Uttar Pradesh. Pooja's elder brother, Sanjay Meena, is a bank manager in Mumbai. His younger brother is Manish Meena, who lives and studies in Gangapur City. Accused Bhanupratap Meena is a friend of Sanjay and has been visiting Pooja's house for the last 5–6 years.

Villagers blocked the road to Barnala, adamant about calling the officials. The atmosphere in the village has been heated since the incident. They were adamant on the demand for a post-mortem only after the officials of the rural district administration arrived on the spot. People from nearby villages have gathered. In view of the crowd of people, police from Mitrapura, Bamanwas, Batoda, and Malarna Dungar police stations have been deployed. Villagers blocked the Batoda-Barnala road.
