1. Jheel Mehta ( Sonu ) - The actress who played the role of Sonu Bhide, daughter of Atmaram Tukaram Bhide in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah serial since 2008, left the show in 2012. As per the official report in India Forum, Jheel Mehta left the show as she was studying for SSC at that time. At the same time, due to the busy schedule of the show, she was not able to give time to her studies. When her father was asked about Jheel Mehta leaving the show, he said, "Jheel is studying for SSC, so her focus should be on studies." Sonu Bhide was later played by Nidhi Bhanushali.

2. Bhavya Gandhi ( Tapu ) - The character of Tappu played by Bhavya Gandhi in the Taarak Mehta show is the only character that people still remember. And even today people want to see Bhavya Gandhi as Tappu. Because this character is one of the most famous characters of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah serial. Bhavya Gandhi played the character from 2008 to 2017. But due to some reason Bhavya Gandhi left the show in 2017. After this, Raj Anadkat played the role of Jethalal's son Tappu.

3. Nidhi Bhanushali ( Sonu ) - In 2012, Nidhi Bhanushali joined the character of Sonu Atmaram Bhide after Jheel Mehta. With time, his character in the show also became very famous. 4. Disha Vakhani ( Dayaben ) - Dayaben's character is most famous after Jethalal in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah serial. Because the main faces of this show are Dilip Joshi and Disha Vakhani. From the start of the show till 2017, Disha Vakhani played the role of Dayaben. There are some funny scenes of Dayaben and Jethalal which have kept the fame of the show intact even today. The audience liked Dayaben's style of speaking the most. Especially his "Hey Maa Mataji" dialogue which became the most famous.
Reason - Disha Vakhani had said goodbye to the show in 2017. Because almost two years after their marriage on November 24, 2015, their daughter Stuti Padia was born on November 27, 2017. Having a newborn daughter, it was not possible for her to give time to the show. So she decided not to return to the show until her daughter was a bit older. But now even after 6 years, Disha Bakhani has not returned to the show.
Disha Vakhani was shown for some middle scenes. 5. Gurucharan Singh ( Sodhi ) - Gurcharan Singh played the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Although he stayed away from the show for some time in between, but later he joined the show again. But after playing the character of Roshan Singh Sodhi for so many years, he left the show in 2020. 7. Neha Mehta ( Anjali Mehta ) - Neha Mehta played the role of Anjali Tarak Mehta in the serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. In the long journey of 12 years, this character of his had made a lot of headlines. The biggest reason for the popularity of this character was Neha Mehta's acting style.
