Where is Ranthambore 'Trinetra Ganesh Temple'?
This temple is located in Ranthambore, at a distance of 13 kilometers from Sawai Madhopur district in Rajasthan. One can reach here from Sawai Madhopur Railway Station in less than half an hour by car or other public transport means. This temple is the oldest and most famous temple of Lord Ganesha in Rajasthan. In the Puranas, Shri Ganesha has been referred to as 'First Ganesha'. For this reason, Lord Ganesha is remembered first in Hinduism. Even in the marriage process, Lord Ganesha is invited first. In Ranthambore, Lord Shri Ganesha is seated with the Trinetra idol along with his two wives, Riddi and Siddhi, respectively. In Hindu beliefs, Ganesha is considered the god of happiness and prosperity.

Regarding the construction of the Trinetra Ganesh temple, it is described that it was built in 1299 AD by the famous Ranthambore ruler Hammir Dev Chauhan. According to the story, at that time there was a war going on between Delhi's ruler, Alauddin Khilji, and Hammir Dev Chauhan. This war continued for a long time, but no results were achieved. Keeping such a situation in mind, Hammir Dev Chauhan had stored food items, grains, etc. in abundance in his palace before the war. So that it can be used when needed.
But due to this war that continued for years, gradually the goods kept in the warehouses also got exhausted. And due to the continuous progress of the war, there was no means of import from outside. That is why Hammir Dev Chauhan's army also started weakening. But about the Chauhan ruler, it is said that he was a great devotee of Shri Ganesha. One night when he was resting, it seemed to him that Shri Ganesha came into his dream and told him that in the morning all his problems would be gone. Then in the morning, the three-eyed statue of Shri Ganesha emerged on the wall of the fort, and miraculously, the war also ended.
Because of the glory of Shri Ganesh, he got the Trinetra Ganesh temple built. The trinetra idol of Shri Ganesha is present along with his two wives, Riddhi and Siddhi, and his two sons, Shubh and Labh.

The nearest airport to Ranthambore is 'Jaipur International Airport'. Which is at a distance of 130 kilometers from Sawai Madhopur. Sawai Madhopur can be easily reached from Jaipur by train or bus. Sawai Madhopur Junction railway station can be reached by train from Jaipur. Ranthambhore can be reached by traveling a distance of half an hour by local means of transport from Sawai Madhopur Junction.
