Geeta Press once also had to face a big crisis because, in December 2014, the employees of the press went on strike. This protest of the employees was regarding the salary. After this, Geeta Press also fired three employees, although later the matter was resolved in a meeting between the employees and the Geeta Press Trust. And these three fired employees were also put back on the job. This was the first time in the history of Gita Press that it remained closed for almost three weeks. After the demands of the employees were met, work was resumed in Geeta Press.

Geeta Press claims that it neither accepts nor gives any type of advertisement in its books and publications. This can be exemplified by the fact that on June 18, 2023, Geeta Press refused to accept the Gandhi Peace Prize amount of Rs 1 crore. It has been the tradition of Geeta Press that it will not accept any kind of honor, but in the meeting of the board members, it was decided that, breaking the tradition, they will accept the award. But they will not accept the prize money; instead, they will take Rs. 1. The day at Gita Press begins with morning prayer. One person goes around the whole day to remind each worker of the Lord's name several times.
